In this week’s segment of the Friday Business Report, BottomLine Marketing’s Co-Founder Miro Copic discusses April’s jobs report. With nearly 21 million people out of work and the unemployment rate of nearly 15%, all sectors were impacted. One interesting statistic was that nearly 78% of consumers felt that their unemployment status was temporary, the complete opposite of the 2008 financial crisis. Copic also discussed the gradual opening of business in California with the expansion of curbside pick-up for retailers. He noted that this was more symbolic since many businesses have been offering curbside pick-up since late March. (KPBS News – 5/8/20)
