Miro Copic, BottomLine Marketing co-Founder speaks to Consumer Bob Hansen about online grocery shopping. Supermarket chains are preparing for a shift and have set up their logistics systems to handle more online shopping – whether delivered to a consumers home or if the consumer comes to the store to pick up their groceries. Consumer Bob asks Copic to evaluate prices of online services like Instacart and Amazon to see if they can provide competition to traditional grocers. While younger consumers might be more comfortable ordering online, it still might take a while for consumers to embrace online ordering since they often like to handle certain product like fruits and vegetables and like to see cuts of meat before selecting what they want. Changing consumer behavior might be a higher hurdle in grocery shopping than buying books. (NBC 7 San Diego – 6/21/19)
