BottomLine Marketing’s Co-Founder Miro Copic discusses San Diego based Coola, a very high-end sunscreen company. The company has developed a line of all natural and organic sunscreen and has successfully expanded distribution to high end retailers. However, at nearly $50 per tube, it is expensive. The company has also launched a different brand targeting a much younger female demographic called Bare Republic at Target. This brand has been so successful that Coola is expanding it to other retailers. This may give traditional suntan lotion and sunscreen companies, like Coppertone, a run for their money.
