BottomLine Co-Founder Miro Copic speaks with NBC’s Joe Little about the impact the trade war with China has on consumers. Copic highlights that American families are paying over $850 more per household for the tariffs that are already in place. With new tariffs taking effect on September 1, those costs are expected to go well above $1,000. American shoppers will feel an even greater pinch at the end of the holiday season when tariffs are enacted on products like computers, cell phones and game consoles like XBOX or Play Station. So far some businesses are absorbing some impact of the tariffs but most businesses are passing the increased costs to consumers. Retailers like Wal-Mart and Target are bracing for an uncertain holiday season. (NBC 7 San Diego – 8/23/19)
