THE BRAND GURU BLOG

BottomLine Marketing’s Miro Copic spoke with Jennifer Van Grove of The San Diego Union Tribune about the gradual opening of San Diego businesses. The issue, Copic noted is that this will do little to help small businesses since they need to somehow communicate to consumers that they are open. Right now, consumers are focusing on one stop online shopping (like Amazon) or one stop shopping offline (like Target or Wal-Mart, where they can get everything from groceries to bedding). Copic said the real pivot point for small business will be when consumers can begin browsing in-store. (San Diego Union-Tribune – 5/9/20)
